I just have to vent to all my buddies in the blogosphere today. I am trying to get my teen child ( who now officially has her driver's license ) on my auto insurance policy. Now, if you're a regular reader of this blog, you know that I am a hard working, single mother whose resources are stretched pretty thin. So I am hunting for some pretty cheap automobile insurance ladies!
case in point : does anyone remember at the beginning of the highschool year when I had to drive my daughter to her magnet college each morning before I rushed off to work? I had to ask my pal whose girl goes to the same school to pick up my girl each afternoon and drop her off at our house. My buddy who lives across the city and nowhere near me, and I pay her $50 a week to do that. It was working out great till my car broke down and what a hassle that was! I had to ask my buddy to pick my daughter up in the morning AND in the afternoon. And I had to ask a colleague, who lives kind of close to me, if she would pick me up on her way to work. That was one nerve wracking week till I got my paycheck on friday and could get my automobile fixed.
i have been looking vehicle insurance websites since last weekend, getting quotes, and inputting my information in small boxes for what seems to be 1,000,000 times. I cannot believe how much it will cost me to add my child to my automobile insurance policy! It's going to cost me about double to do it! I do not even live in a dear part of the country either!
